Overview
Advanced Route Time Editing allows you to manually correct a route’s actual start and end date/time when it differs from the originally scheduled plan. These actual times are then used across Laminar Copilot for scheduling logic, driver hours, and asset availability.
Where to Find Advanced Route Time Editing
Open an existing route to launch the route edit drawer
In the drawer, expand the Advanced Settings toggle
If a route already has actual times set, this section will be automatically expanded
Fields You Can Edit
Within Advanced Settings, you can set the following four fields:
Actual Start Date
Actual Start Time
Actual End Date
Actual End Time
All route types support actual time editing, including:
SO1
SO2

Updating Routes With Existing Actual Times
Routes with actual times already set can be edited again at any time
Changes overwrite the previous actual times
How Actual Route Times Affect Breakdown Tables
Once actual times are saved:
The route block updates visually in the Dynamic Breakdown tables
The displayed start time and end times reflects the updated actual start and end times
Driver hour calculations update automatically
Scheduled hours in breakdown tables are recalculated using actual times
These changes also appear consistently across all views in the Command Center.
Scheduling & Validation Impact
Once a route’s actual times are modified, all scheduling logic uses those times, including:
Driver Validations
Overlapping route conflicts
60/70-hour limits
10-hour reset requirements
Impact on future assigned routes
Asset Validations
Overlapping asset assignments
If conflicts are detected, existing driver or asset assignments may be invalidated.
