Assign Assets to Drivers

To keep drivers assigned to a specific truck, Copilot is now allowing users to specify a tractor to a driver. In the Driver Roster, edit the driver record to specify the preferred tractor.

Steps

1. Make sure the correct route types are selected for the driver. The SO1 Pref Tractor and the SO2 Pref Tractor fields will be selectable based on the types selected in the Type field.
2. Specify an asset for the SO1 Pref Tractor and/or SO2 Pref Tractor fields.Please note that it is not required to assign a driver to a tractor.

Dynamic Scheduler

This is how Copilot’s Dynamic Scheduler will take the asset preferences into consideration when assigning routes on import:

Conditions:

• IF Driver has a preferred tractor for route type 🔽, Copilot will check to see if the preferred tractor is available
  • ‍IF Driver’s preferred tractor is available, Copilot will assign the preferred tractor to the driver’s route(s)
  • ‍IF Driver’s preferred tractor is not available, Copilot will not assign any asset to the driver’s route(s). The user will need to manually assign a different asset to the driver’s routes
• ‍IF  Driver does not have a preferred tractor for a route type, Copilot will assign an available tractor while maintaining an optimal tractor assignment across all routes
