Updated text message copy

We’ve heard your feedback 🗣️

Many of you have told us that the text messages that are being sent to drivers are causing some confusion as the actual trip start time is different from the block start time in Copilot.

What’s changed? 🔄

Our team has therefore updated the contents of the text messages that are sent out to your drivers so that it does not include the block start times. We instead instruct drivers to check Relay to get their exact start times. Please see the details of the changes below:

💬 Weekly Summary (sent out to drivers by clicking “Notify Drivers”)

Hi [Driver’s first name], this is [Company Name].You are scheduled for a shift on the following day(s):

  • Shift date(s)Please check the Amazon Relay app for your full shift details. If you have any issues with this schedule, reach out to the management team immediately.
💬 24-hour Shift Confirmation (sent out automatically, 24 hours before shift start time)

Hi [Driver’s first name], this is [Company Name]. This is a reminder that you have a [Route type] shift in the next 24 hours. Please check Relay for your shift details.

Reply with “Y” to confirm. If you cannot fulfill this route, please respond with “N” AND also directly message the management team to inform them. Your shift is at risk if you do not reply within 12 hours.

💬 2-hour Shift Confirmation (sent out automatically, 2 hours before shift start time)

Hi [Driver’s first name], this is [Company Name]. This is a reminder that you have a [Route type] shift coming up. Please check Relay for specific shift start times.Identifier: [Route ID]Asset Id: [Asset Id]

Note: Text in brackets  are variables that will be replaced with the appropriate details of the route.
