Shift Patterns
Configure a 2 on 2 off or 4 on 4 off rotation for SO2 contract routes so Copilot assigns drivers automatically each week.
Shift Patterns let you define a recurring driver rotation — 2 on 2 off or 4 on 4 off — for Solo 2 (SO2) contract routes. Once a contract has a pattern configured, Dynamic Scheduler assigns its two drivers automatically according to the rotation, instead of requiring manual assignment each week.
This feature expands what was previously the "4 on 4 off" setting: the same toggle and workflow now also support a 2 on 2 off rotation.
Enabling Shift Patterns for Your Workspace
SO2-only carriers should automatically see the ability to set Shift Patterns for their SO2 contracts. If you don't see this, or you'd like it enabled for your carrier, connect with our Support Team.
Submit a support ticket to get Shift Patterns enabled for your workspace.
Configuring a Shift Pattern on a Contract
- Go to the Contracts tab.
- Open the edit drawer for the SO2 contract you want to configure.
- Set Shift Pattern to one of:
- None — no rotation; the contract is scheduled as usual with no drivers pre-assigned to a pattern.
- 2 on 2 off
- 4 on 4 off
New contracts default to None. Selecting either rotation reveals two driver fields — assign the two drivers who will rotate on and off this contract's routes.
Shift Pattern can only be set on SO2 (Solo 2) contracts. SO1 contracts don't support this feature.
In the Contracts table, the old 4 on 4 off column is now labeled Shift Pattern and shows the selected option (None, 2 on 2 off, or 4 on 4 off) instead of a Yes/No value.
