Text Message Notifications

Using Copilot includes text messages to both the AFP management team and your drivers to reduce operational risk.

Text Messages to Your Drivers

Note: Your drivers need to have the setting Can Text marked as Yes in order to receive text messages from Copilot.

Send Weekly Schedules (Manual Step)

After generating your schedule on Friday, you can send a text to your drivers with their weekly schedule.

  1. In the Command Center, click the Notify Drivers button at the top right.

  2. Select the drivers you would like to send text messages to.

  3. Click Notify Drivers again and go through the confirmation modal.

Upon sending weekly schedules, drivers receive a text in this format:

Hi [Driver's first name], this is [Company Name]. You are scheduled for a shift on the following day(s):

[List date(s) of assigned route(s)]

Please check the Amazon Relay app for your full shift details. If you have any issues with this schedule, reach out to the management team immediately.

24-Hour Confirmation Text (Automated)

To prevent no-shows and last-minute callouts, Copilot will send automated text message reminders to drivers 24 hours before their assigned routes.

Hi [Driver's first name], this is [Company Name].

This is a reminder that you have a [Route type] shift in the next 24 hours. Please check Relay for your shift details. Reply with "Y" to confirm.

If you cannot fulfill this route, please respond with "N" AND also directly message the management team to inform them. Your shift is at risk if you do not reply within 12 hours.

  • If the driver responds with Y, the route's Driver Acceptance field will be marked as Accepted.

  • If the driver responds with N, the route's Driver Acceptance field will be marked as Rejected. The AFP management team will also get a courtesy text that the route has been rejected.

2-Hour Reminder Text (Automated)

Two hours before shift start, drivers receive a final reminder text that includes the Asset they will be using:

Hi [Driver's first name], this is [Company Name]. This is a reminder that you have a [Route type] shift coming up in 2 hours. Please check Relay for specific shift start times.

Identifier: [Route Id]

Asset Id: [Asset Id]


Text Messages to the AFP Management Team

These are courtesy messages that Copilot sends to the AFP management team on record. You can update the contacts receiving these messages in your Workspace settings.

Preemptive Notification for Un-Accepted Routes

Copilot will send a message to the AFP management team if a route is starting within 12 hours but has not been accepted by the driver via text or has not been marked as accepted within the Command Center.

This is a courtesy message from Laminar Copilot. [Route ID] on [Date] at [Start] has not been confirmed by [Driver Name]. Please reach out or find a replacement.

Route Rejection Notification

Copilot will send a message to the AFP management team if a route has been rejected by the driver via text.

This is a courtesy message from Laminar Copilot. [Route ID] on [Date] at [Contracted Start Time] has been rejected by [Driver Name].
